Mr. Alan B. Howe

Mr. Howe (age 54) has served as co-founder and managing partner of Broadband Initiatives, LLC, a boutique corporate advisory and consulting firm, since 2001. Currently, he is operating as Interim CEO of Sunrise Telecom, Inc., under a consulting contract since August 2012. Sunrise Telecom sold all of its operating assets in June of 2013. He also has served as a managing director with B Riley & Co. LLC in their corporate advisory group under a consulting agreement, from December 2009 until December 2012. He previously served as Vice President of Strategic and Wireless Business Development for Covad Communications, Inc., a national broadband telecommunications company from May 2005 to October 2008. Prior to that, Mr. Howe was CFO and Vice President of Corporate Development of Teletrac, Inc., and director of corporate development for Sprint PCS. Mr. Howe is also currently a member of the public board of directors of Data I/O, Qualstar, and is Vice Chairman of Selectica (each a Nasdaq reporting company), and since 2006 has served as a director of Alliance Semiconductor Corporation, which is no longer a reporting company. He previously served on the boards of Ditech, Inc., Proxim, Inc., Crossroads, Inc., LLC International, Inc., Kitty Hawk, Inc., Dyntek, Inc., and Altigen Communications, Inc., which are no longer reporting companies. Mr. Howe holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the Indiana University Kelley Graduate School of Business with a specialty in finance.
